Salome Thomas-El Wins Best Philadelphian Award

The Chess Drum reports that principal, teacher and chess coach Salome Thomas-El has won Philadelphia Magazine's 2006 Best Philadelphian Award. The impressive eight-page spread in the magazine can be viewed here.

Thomas-El recently penned the book The Immortality of Influence, with a Foreword written by television and movie star Will Smith. His previous book I Choose To Stay is the inspiration for an upcoming Disney movie.
